The complete guide to finding right Furniture Movers
Hi, I am back. Last time, I stopped near “what to ask from Furniture Movers.” Let’s start with question 6.
6) Enough Staff?: Moving firms are very busy during the summer, so they run out of staff. So, either they hire temporary staff or get inexperienced workers. Your items are not safe in those inexperienced hands. Before hire, you better ask them about experienced crew available to handle your household goods. If they say, “Sorry, we are too busy, so transient workers will be handling your stuff,” then you say, “Sorry, I will hire a different moving firm.”
7) Storage Facilities?: You may want to store your items for a certain time period. So, check the condition of their storing facilities. Some Furniture Movers use third-party storing facilities. If your company does the same, go and check it for yourself.
8) Recommendations And References?: Good companies have awards to show their customers on their service quality. Well, the consultant won’t bring trophies or awards they have won, but you can ask about any.
Step 19: Your rights/responsibilities: OK, I stopped the part-4 with step 18. Step 18 had many questions to ask, so now I am starting step 19. Are you moving into a different state? Many interstate Furniture Movers would give their customers a booklet on rights and responsibilities. The booklet has information on keeping your move safe, and to minimize mistakes.
Step 20: Price reduction: Well, everybody wants to minimize the move cost as much as can. Why don’t you ask professional advice from the Furniture Movers you are considering about ways to minimize the move cost? Also, you can ask them for special deals, discounts, ongoing promotions, student discounts, return customer deals, and so on. If you are a regular customer, definitely you would get some discount.
Step 21: Quote comparison: OK, this is a tough decision. Now you must compare not only the prices but the value too. Imagine you have 3 price estimations from 3 different Furniture Movers. How are you going to select the one for your move? Many customers tend to go with the cheapest, which is not wise. You should carefully compare the quotes. While putting more weight on price tags, study the quality of service each moving firm ready to give you. How about the additional services? How about their experience? Do they have well-maintained trucks? How about the personality of the consultant who visited your premises? Which company has the best customer reviews and ratings?
In step 18, I explained what to ask from Furniture Movers. Which company consultant gave positive answers to all your questions? In summary, don’t focus only on the price, think of value too.
Step 22: Moving scams: This is a top thing to consider when hunting for Furniture Movers. I have heard stories about customers losing all belongings during a move. Moving is very stressful, and what would happen if the company you hired is a moving scam? I wish it will never happen to you. How can you notice a potential moving scam? Dodgy moving firms give you unnaturally low estimation than its competitors. So, if you a customer who only focuses on the price tag, more likely you will get scammed. You have given a brain, so please don’t get fooled by very low estimations. Trust your intuition.
Sorry again. I am stopping here, so you must read the part-6, the final part. I will be continuing from the same step 22, “Moving Scams.” See you so.
